The Pocket Orbit workflow
Which version does this guide describe?
Follow this guide in your Pocket Orbit workspace. You can also open the sample material in an ordinary Markdown editor.
Before using a second editor
Keep an untouched copy outside the workspace. Finish one edit before switching editors. Folder sync can introduce a separate conflict and does not guarantee that every application resolves changes the same way.
When the Markdown draft is stale
If the app says the note changed, copy the draft text you need to a separate temporary file. Revert loads the latest source; it discards the private Markdown draft after confirmation. Save can be disabled until the stale state is resolved.
Use Review changes when offered
Open Review changes. Compare Current version with Saved alternative, including text, ink and Markdown. Keep current version retains the current version. Save alternative as a copy keeps the alternative in a separate copy. Read the dialog before choosing.
Expected result and recovery
Inspect the chosen note and any saved alternative in both applications. Only your intended changes should remain. If comparison or saving fails, keep both copies and contact support with the error and build, without sending your note content.
Preserve both edits before choosing
Use a copied note. Make one change in Pocket Orbit and a different change externally. Inspect the conflict state and both versions before choosing a recovery action. Confirm the accepted copy is readable outside the app. Avoid repeating a failed save until you understand which source version it would replace.
