PDF uses a simple reading layout. Tables become labeled text rows; inline emphasis uses regular text. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic characters are supported. Other characters may require HTML.
Know what your export preserves
The PDF download uses A4 pages, readable embedded fonts and wrapped lines. Headings and lists are retained. Inline emphasis uses regular text; tables become text rows separated by vertical bars. The reading preview shows the HTML structure, not exact PDF pagination. Check the downloaded PDF before sharing.
Images and complex notation need a separate review
Image references become labeled placeholders with their source location. No image is fetched or embedded. Equations, plugin syntax and companion ink are not reconstructed. Keep those original files separately. PDF fonts cover Latin, Greek and Cyrillic; unsupported glyphs stop export with an HTML alternative rather than silently disappearing.
Three steps to your result
Bring your Markdown
Paste Markdown or choose a local file. Try the original sample if you want to explore first.
Review the preview
Preview the note. Check headings, source links and labeled image references.
Download PDF. Reopen the file, review the result and retain your editable .md source.
Before you save
Is my note uploaded?
No. Parsing and export run in this browser. The site loads its code and PDF fonts over the network, but document text, filenames and links are not sent for conversion.
Are images included?
No. Image references remain labeled text with their source location. Keep the original assets separately. No remote image request is triggered.
Can I keep editing after export?
Yes. The source stays in this tab until reset or navigation. Keep your .md file for future edits. The current iPhone and iPad app supports note exports; keep editing Markdown in your local Mac workspace.
