## Which version does this guide describe?

Follow this guide in your Pocket Orbit workspace. You can also open the sample material in an ordinary Markdown editor.

## Before you begin

Check download, device and Pro requirements. In the revised onboarding, access choice comes before personal setup: local Free on iPhone and iPad needs no account; Pro checkout or restoration requires account binding. Model setup is a separate optional step and does not prove a qualified task. For this Mac exercise, extract the sample archive and keep an untouched copy. The sample is original synthetic Markdown; its ordinary SVG is not a native ink companion.

## Open the copied folder

Use the workspace chooser → Open workspace… and select the extracted working folder. Cancel the chooser if you are unsure which folder is selected. Do not open your only copy of a personal vault for this exercise.

## Change one heading in Markdown

Choose Project decision in Notes. Open Markdown → Edit, change one heading and let it save. Use Save (⌘S) when a draft still needs saving. Use Read to inspect it. Keep Pocket Orbit source markers and properties intact when present. Reopen the note in a second editor and compare the intended change.

## Review a smaller result

Open Overview → Summary and use the supported summary action for your note. Compare the result with the manually written exercise below. Keep Maya, Friday and the unresolved pricing question in the result.

## Expected result and recovery

Only your chosen heading should change in the source. The owner, deadline and open question should survive in the shorter result. If anything is unclear, stop and restore the untouched sample copy. Read the conflict guide before making external edits to real notes.
