## Best for

- Your own notes and checkable tasks
- Markdown files on a supported device

## Not designed for

- Automatic retrieval across an entire workspace
- Unreviewed results or universal plugin compatibility

## Local means the task runs on your device.

The local-first direction is for note content to be processed by installed models on a supported Mac, iPad or iPhone. It removes the need to send each note to a hosted AI service for that task.

This is different from merely saving files locally while sending prompts elsewhere. It is also different from a cloud service promising limited retention.

## A shorter note should still mean the same thing.

Review recognition before asking for a summary. Keep the original beside the result and compare individual claims, particularly names, dates, numerical relationships and qualifiers.

A fluent paragraph can omit a caveat or attach a correct number to the wrong event. Accept the useful parts, correct errors and regenerate from a corrected source when needed.

## Bring a topic together without flattening its sources.

Choose the notes that belong together, then review the proposed group and its summary. Notes about different projects should not be combined just because they share a word.

A group summary should preserve source ownership and disagreements. Treat a plan, an estimate and an approved decision as different things.

## Offline work starts after setup.

Model and application downloads use the internet. Account, billing, optional sync and any explicitly connected service have their own network requirements.

Device memory, installed assets and the selected workflow determine whether local processing can run. The compatibility page will carry verified requirements rather than a universal all-device promise.

## Built for your own material.

The focus is thinking, studying and project notes you actively capture and review. Meeting recording and unattended transcription are different jobs.

Use the source-check worksheet to compare an output with the original, whether the processing is local or remote.

## Requirements and limitations

On mobile, Free includes individual local summaries, OCR and organization without a local count quota, subject to supported, qualified models and device capacity. Selected-note synthesis and additional group-report formats require Pro; the complete-group PDF workflow remains included. Mac workspace use requires Mobile + Mac Pro. These access rules do not qualify a model's accuracy or performance.

## Check the Pro offer.

Mobile + Mac Pro includes your Mac workspace. Compare billing periods and trial eligibility on the pricing page; confirm your regional price in the app.
